Looking to "Crank up HP" a bit, any suggestions?

I would have loved to have seen a chain driven 700 as it would have been a beast, but 700s had dual cv driveshafts

A few things that really woke up my old 2001 Arctic Cat 500, a race cam, 5 degree timing advance,a muffler mod (gutted out) and a Dynojet Stage 1 carb kit. Top speed went from 55 to 64 mph. Actually, it might be faster, but it will turn 8,500 rpm's in top gear with 30 tires!I lack the nuggets to push her higher. OK, a K&N filter, too.

ATV's typically are rated to tow around 1500lbs with the bigger engines, perhaps your at your machine's limit.... mabey a bigger machine like a UTV might be in order. My thought is if you beef up the engine to tow more weight then the tranny and gear boxes will go next...will that be worth it?

I figure the ATV will make a good "mountain tractor" when needed. It will push some snow, and it will pull a small trailer. But it won't pull a two bottom plow.

My old 30 horse Kubota compact tractor would do more work than my ATV could ever possibly do. But my Kubota won't trail ride, top speed was about 10 mph.

Sometimes we expect more work from an ATV than it was designed for.

Why not just change the sprockets? Smaller in front, and a larger in the rear. That will increase torque and probably the cheapest solution.

Belts! LMAO.. They have CV joints (not like the joints you are used to). He didn't say a thing about belts.
I made that mistake already.
