I removed every black wire that goes to the CDI. I had no spark when any of them were removed. But, I still had my single spark with them connected.
I tested the coil, I think. From what I saw it was good.
any more ideas?

If the stator and coil tests good, you removed the kill wire from the cdi which eliminates the ignition switch and left control switch kill circuit, and still just one spark, then I'd say the cdi is the problem.

The voltage regulator rectifier was bad.
I pulled the one off my daughters sportsman and put it on the predator. The predator fired right up.
I ordered one off amazon, be here in a couple of days.

Glad you found the problem. Keep forgetting about faulty regulators and the one spark condition they can cause.

OPT, could I have caused the damage to the regulator by jumping it when it had a dead battery?

Possible, but the main thing is that it's running now. I never liked jumping off dead batteries as surges can knock out sensitive electronics. Better to just get a new one and keep it on a tender. Less chance of damage when you use the machines battery versus jumping off a car or truck.
