Reverse actuator

Reverse actuator
Is there a way to repair or lube my reverse actuator on my 2000 polaris expedition? It only moves all the way back to enguage reverse half the tine you press the button on the handlebar. It is like something is letting it get hung up half the time and the other half it moves all the way to the rear as it should to enguage in reverse. Any help would be appreciated maybe they can be cleaned out and luberacated?

I've had a couple come in that had problems on the reverse actuator. If I remember correctly I believe it's sealed. It has an internal limit switch and and a small actuator motor inside.Only thing I can say without the manual in front of me is to clean the connector and try some electrical grease. I remember one owner that said it was just about as easy to press on the pedal and pull the lever manually when he saw what a new one cost. Now if you can find them, some sites are nla, they're a little over 200 bucks. My cheap manual access is still down, but if you need a manual,it may go more into what you can do. One is $8.95 the other from Tradebit is higher.2000 POLARIS XPEDITION 425 4X4 ATV REPAIR MANUAL https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail....service-repair Item#31 on the parts break down.
