Sportsman X2

Default Sportsman X2

Hi,
I am new to Polaris and I am looking to buy a 2010-2014 X2 Sportsman. There is too many engines to choose from.What engine should I avoid. It will be use mainly for hunting and fishing and occasionally on trails.Thanks for your help.

Yep, lots of engines to choose from. Started with a 500 when they first came out. I had a 2006 500 efi. 6 months later they offered a V-twin 700 cc, and following years an 800. They did a 550 for a couple years, and offered an 850 in very limited numbers. Current is a 570 single cylinder. Of all of them, the 500, 570, and 800 were probably the most bulletproof. The others weren't bad. Just not quite as good in my mind. Old Polaris Tech can tell you a lot more than I can.

Can't add much to this other than I've always been partial to the old Fugi 500. Doesn't have the kick of the later models,but simple by today's standards.
