Do you have a RAM mount? I use one for my Garmin and am very happy with it.

I have a Ram mount for my garmin 12 and I love it. The handlebar mount bracket can replace half of your brake lever mount for a clean install.

I got mine here:

I just installed my Garmin 12 yesterday. The handlebar mount didn't work out right, so I had a mount made for it. I can send you a picture of the mount if you want.

Is this RAM mount any different than the GPD mount Polaris sells?

Hey Albino, I grew up in your neck of the woods. I went to Fountain Central HS and lived in Stone Bluff many years ago. Where do ride your machine? At Badlands? Where else? Do they let you ride on the old RR right of way that used to go through the east side of town? I used to hunt Rabbits near the slate quarry that was on the road between Stone Bluff and Veedersburg. I think the quarry would be a great place if they let you.

Now for your question. I have peel and stick Velcro attached to my gas tank and the back of my Garmin 12 GPS and I just stick it on the gas tank. I have been using it in that place on my last three quads with no difficulty. It sits right between your knees and the rougher the ride the harder it sticks. It is also easy to change settings because you have a solid back for it and its not vibrating so bad you can't see or read it.

Are there any decent and cheap mounts out there? Under $20? I'd also like to be able to use the mount on my Mountain Bike too ..

Have you had any problems with your GPS mount coming loose? I am going to get the Garmin etrax. Do you think this mount will work with it?

This was directed to rws.

Thanks
Tim
