Fuel pump replacement
#1
I have a Ranger xp700EFI 2006, I bought a cheap replacement fuel pp & bottom strainer, will these after market pumps work and is there somewhere I can find a walk trough or how to on replacing the pump?

Most of the aftermarket pumps will work ok. Some may take a little time, but here's a couple videos on a 500 and Rzr800. You may or may not have to do all that's shown,BUT do disconnect the battery..

Thank you OPT the videos, even with all the dissimilarities, gave me an idea what to expect once I get the pump assembly out of the tank. Also made me wonder what parts I didn't get with my pp. and strainer, like a retainer clip for the strainer, o-rings, spacers etc. Anyway I'm hoping for the best tomorrow when I replace the pump........thanks again, debreeze (Paul)

Yeah, its not too hard to do if you just take your time. Not sure about yours, but on some models you really can't get the plastic housing apart without breaking off the tabs that hold it together. Many of the pumps come with a HD ziptie that is used to hold it when reassembled. If not replacing the regulator, make sure to carefully clean it out. They usually have a little dirt in them.
