Default Overflow and Vent Hose

Can Pvc Clear Vinyl Tubing be used as overflow and/or vent hose? My overflow hose is stained brown and stopped up somewhat. I can get Eastman clear tubing at Lowe's, but I'm concerned about the heat and reaction with the antifreeze, or in the case of vent hoses, the oil vapors. If this type of hose isn't acceptable, what is and where can I get it?

Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem. Local Lowes has 20' of ether 1/4,3/8,1/2 inch for less than 8 bucks. According to the description it should work ok.
"The 20-ft clear vinyl tubing is used for a wide variety of chemicals, gases, and liquids. The clear, non-toxic material is great for low pressure applications. The tubing can be cut down to length for a great fit".
Clear, non-toxic material
Great for low pressure applications
Not recommended for ice makers
Handles a wide variety of chemicals, gases, and liquids
