Default Polaris 330 trail boss won't start

Hello,
I'm new to the forum I wouldn't be grateful for some help.. I was just given a 330 trail boss.. my buddy's kid was driving the quad when an oil line could come undone and he didn't notice right away and ran the thing for a bit without any oil. Once the line was fixed and oil is put back in he tried to start It wouldn't fire the engine cranks over but nothing happens. I haven't tried messing with it yet. The holy Trinity of engines is fuel, spark and compression. I will check for them first . What would be the first thing to go on one of those 330 engines if it was ran out of oil would it be a cam lobe, rings , timing chain or could it be something far more simple.

I am surprised it did not seize up with no oil. check compression for sure to make sure the rings/piston made it through the no oil.

Yes I am surprised as well . Fuel, spark and compression makes a motor fire up , my guess is there isn't any compression which would be the rings got wiped out . I assume the jug has an iron sleeve. Could one of the cam lobes be wiped out? Or is there a oil level and or pressure sensor that would ground out the ignition as a safety feature to prevent internal damage?
