My 2000 SP has about 500 miles on it. Just before I stopped riding it last time I noticed a new noise from the engine pulley belt housing. The noise occurs only during medium RPM with little load or engine effort. If RPM is increased or decreased very much it quits but will return if constant speed is maintained on level run. The noise is worst with about 2500 RPM in neutral, its somewhat like a vibrating rattle. It's as if something on the engine pulley is loose. Its not a flapping like a shredded belt.
Is this normal after break-in? It's never made any noise like this before.
Please Help I'm new to Polaris, never had a belt drive before!!!

Without hearing it,it would be hard to help, but what you could do is pull the cover off and take a look at it while running
