Cool. I'll check it out tomorro. I'd like to see where the burned wire goes to on the connector, to see which leg of the stator it is. Honestly, I dont think it will help out, but I'm curious. Who knows, maybe it will shed some light on the issue.

Unless it's changed very recently you'll be able to post pics on your own after you have 20 posts. It's supposed to cut down on people signing up just to spam the forum. A forum I used to be on got spammed a lot but it was always links and not pictures, so I don't know how well it works.

I checked that against the wiring diagram and it comes straight from the stator. As I said earlier one of the yellows goes to the tach, but not the one you have that is burned. I wondered if it may have something to do with the ECM receiving a signal from that wire telling it the motor was spinning(even though the crank sensor does that) I didnt figure it would get us anywhere but did want to rule it out. I would test your stator while you at it if you havent already, just to make sure it didnt have an issue when the PDM connector got hot.

The three legs on the charging side of the stator should ohm at .43 in between each yellow wire. Y1 to Y2, Y2 to Y3, Y1 to Y3. No continuity to ground on any of them.

your welcome. It can be hard diagnosing "over the net" but we'll try. I still think address the pdm first in this situation. I know of a guy that repairs them, I'll see if I have the link on my phone. Some of those pdms are expensive.

Give me the part number off the back of the pdm. There is a chance I have one at the shop. Maybe I could send it to you to use for diagnostics and have you return it after your done.

You know whats funny, I looked it up and posted it myself earlier in this thread!!! Oh well, too much going on I guess.
looked and dont have that specific module laying around. I have one for an 07 but it has a different part number.

here is the link for the guy that repairs the PDMs. Ive only had one done since I found him but it has worked perfectly so far. Been 13 months so far and no problems.

If you buy one instead of getting it rebuilt make sure you get the newer model that replaced it, Polaris part number 4011598, and not your outdated one.
