Hey all I need help I have Polaris Hawkeye 300 4x4 bought it new in 06 been sitting for twelve years hook jumper cables up and jumped it off cranks and runs fine my problem is when I disconnect jumper cables it dies and have no idea why please help thanks

 

12 years !!! OMG ! Start at the tail lights and work your way forward.

Your model may have DC-ignition (requires a battery). Most models are AC ignition, firing off the AC alternator. (after you pull-start them... !)

This could be a long thread. You better read Polaris (everything) before you try to ride that thing.
