2011 Scrambler 500 gas in oil
I recently bought a used scrambler 500 that wasn't running and hadn't seen an oil change in 4 years. After replacing the fuel pick-up plate on the fuel tank (the hose barb was broke off), fresh gas, and a new spark plug it was running great. I had checked the oil to make sure it 1 had some, and 2 looked like it would lubricate well enough to warm the motor up for an oil change and it was dark but otherwise looked ok. After running it for a while I took the oil cap off preparing for an oil change and oil/ gas ran out onto the floor. I finished the oil change and took to this forum for a possible cause. Most of what I saw pointed at the needle and seat but no one really talked about the volume of fuel I had in the oil tank. I took the carb out and popped the bowl off, everything looked really clean but I did a quick clean out and put it back together, I did not inspect the float O-rings or needle and seat mostly because of how clean it was inside. After getting it back together I took it for a 5 min ride and checked the oil, it was way over full already. My question is, can a stuck float or needle and seat issue cause that much fuel to get into the oil that fast or should I be looking for a bigger problem?

update
Pulled the carb again last night and could not get the seat out so I called a Polaris guru friend of a friend and he said that the carb in my Scrambler is not original and he was 100% sure that was my problem. So now I am on the hunt for a factory original carb to rebuild since I don't really want to spend $500 on a new one. If anyone has any tips on where to source one I would appreciate it. I'll post updates as I work through it.
