Anyone else have shifting problems with these? I changed the belt and now the unit will hardly shift. It shifts easier when not running but it is still difficult. Since the problem started I have taken apart the gear selector box, cleaned it up, and put new oil in it. I did a slight adjustment to the shift linkage and changed out the trans fluid. Here is a picture of the clutch, I’m not sure if that is in need of adjustment.

 

Who has been beating on that clutch with a hammer? never use a hammer on a clutch... New belt has probably tightened everything up and like every other machine on the market if their is a little tension on the trans its hard to shift. Hence why people give their machines a little rock to release the tension and shift. Once the belt gets loosened up again it will get easier. But i would do a good service and cleaning on those clutches or your just going to start running into issues in the future
