I just bought a 99 Polaris sportsman 500 said to only need a new pull cord and starter. One I got it home and installed these parts I tried to start it. No start! Found no spark, I did new coil/and spark plug, nothing, so I did a new stator and cdi box. Boom we have spark. The quad would start rev real high and shut off. I cleaned the carb, didn’t help. I thought maybe I did a crap job so I just ordered a new carb and fuel pump. Installed both now no start at all. I am completely at a loss and feel total ripped off it was only supposed to just need a starter. Can anyone help point me in the right direction.
