I'm new to the forum, but surprised this post hasn't gotten any replies. I have the same wheeler, so I hope you get answers to this.
I have a couple cents to offer. But you probably already tried and by Now have already figured it out.... adjust your shift rods by loosening the locking nuts, then turning the linkage rods one direction till a resistance is felt. Then counting the turns, turn the rod back the other direction till resistance is felt again. Then turn the rod back the other way HALF of the number of turns you counted. Just a little off can make a huge difference of it's shifting. But, that procedure is what I read from an expert, and it works.
I hope I have helped, at least helped another forum browser!
