Hey Guys,

I just got my RcR Stage 1 kit yesterday, and I will be installing it this weekend. I was just wondering if the Stock pipes off of my sport are worth anything? I "heard" that people with xplorers put them on theirs, is that true? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Sure, they are worth something. Probably not much though. Your probably better off keeping it anyway. When you go to sell or trade in your machine, a lot of times it is easier to sell a stock machine. Then throw in the RCR kit as a bonus.

Yeah, I agree with Lurch.... Keep 'em.

I was going to sell my stock parts on ebay but then realized that there is a good chance that whoever buys it when I sell it someday may not want the loud pipe or clutch kit and such. You probably won't make much off of it anyway.

I might be "tring" to install my stock Scrambler pipe/muffler on a friend's Xplorer 400. I have no idea how it will work.

Two things should happen. A small power gain and the loss of a few pounds. If anything...it should sound and look cool, much better then the stock monster-made-of-lead exhaust system!

Great! Thanks for the info everybody.

adamnieman, please let me know how the installation goes, and performance/sound gains. I know a guy with an explorer that may buy my pipes if they will make a difference. I'd like to hold on to them, but I need some cash. My email is jlanphear@globalnetisp.net. Thanks for the help.
