Polaris calls for a 5812048 Cover Seal for my unit, but for 2005 and later it is a 5812571 that is much cheaper. Cannot find specs on the 2571, but trying to see if anyone knows the difference

 

Everything for the the early 700 up to 2004 1/2 is specific to that engine. Changes where made mid year and most parts for the early are not the same as the mid year to 2005. The early 700 was their “ experimental” engine.
