Here's my fix:

SP rear studs are longer than front. If you put these studs in front location, the are PERFECT length.

I then had .125" machined off of my rear hubs. One could also counterbore the stud pockets to thin the cross section.

Polaris also has an acorn style nut listed supposedly. I still like engaging more thread.
