Hi everyone. My wifes SP335 has developed a high pitch rattle/whine that only happens at certain RPM's. It's comming from the front end somewhere. I had her put it in neutral and slowly rev it up untill it made the noise and found that pushing the bolts on the side of the oil cooler on the front made it go away. I tightened them up but the noise is back. Any ideas on where to look before I take the whole front end apart? It a really anonying sound. Thanks.

Ruffles,

If you know for sure that the noise is coming from around the oil filter or where ever you said, disregard this message, but if not, it may be of some help. Ever since I purchased my 500 Magnum, it was making some rattling noises also. I thought it was coming somewhere around the engine. It turned out to be that the air filter was vibrating against the cover. So I put a piece of cloth on top of the filter where the little piece is suppose to touch it and it cured the problem. Hope this helps.

Ruffles,
On my brothers sp335 and my sp500 the screws that attatch the front rack keep coming loose. I keep forgetting to locktight them until it begins to rattle again. I'll fix that tomorrow if I don't forget.
