I need some web sites selling RCR mod packages for a 93 2X4 Trail Boss. Best prices appreciated. A cool member recomended this kit but I lost his address. (the kit includes a clutch kit and a pipe. I do NOT want to re-jet so info is appreciated.
Also, I am considering a K&N air filter. Anyone reciomend one....worth the price?

Weedy,
If you put a pipe and clutch and K&N without re-jetting.. you run a very real possibility of buring up your engine.. at very least, you would NEVER reach the full potential of the new power goodies...
Heres the web-site of RCR...
www. rittercycle.com
A buddy of mine just ordered his complete Stage 1 kit for his Sportsman 400... I can't wait to get to help install all this stuff..

Is rejetting easy? I used to fool with motocross bike when I was younger and they were quite finicky with carb adjustments. Is this mod a simple bolt on and go?

Not rejetting would be like changing your oil and not wanting to change the filter. It will come back to haunt you. It is so easy to go up one size on the main jet. Just pull the carb and flip it over. Remove the plug in the bottom and find a nut driver to fit the main jet (it will be right in your face). Unscrew it and screw in the new one.

RCR pipes are only available from RCR to my knowledge. Rick is extremely helpful and you will be glad you choose him.
Scott.

You sure get a lot of bang for your buck with the RCR Stage 1 kit. It's incredibly easy to install. Follow directions and in two hours you have a new bike. Re-jetting is a no brainer, you have to do it with these mods. Rick will answer any questions you have.

I think Hot Seat is connected as a sponsor with the Polaris racing teams (PWC & Sled) but I don't think they do with ATV.

I think I am going to go with the RCR 1 Kit. It cost $325 and comes with:
Pipe
Clutch Kit
Jetting
New Large Volume Air Box
New Air Filter.
It is a good deal for what is included. RCR seems to be squared away with Polaris mods from talking to people online. I just hope they make a kit for a 1993 model.
I emailed them earlier but have not had a response yet to determine which springs will suit my riding. I want more power throughout the powerband. I am guessing the midrange kit will be what is recomended. Hopefully Santa will bring me one.
