Let's see, I have had my 97 Sportsman 500 floating with me on it, water was just over the racks and it was floating maybe a half of foot from the bottom. It floats real good with nobody on it. I once came to a creek about 8ft across, it had been rain pretty good so the creek was high, this was the begining of my trail so I had to make it if I wanted to ride. I drove into the water slowly and as soon as the front rack started to go under I punched it and it went under, the atv had the front top headlight under for 5 seconds at the most and it came powering out the otherside, I never let off the gas. My Scrambler 500 floats good by itself but I have not tried any floating with me on it and will not, the belt get wet too easy on the scrambler compared to the sportsman. My 300EX sank like a rock when I tried to pull across a lake on the back of a jet ski, the sprocket striped and that would have been the easy way back to the truck but it sank! When I first started riding we took the little honda three wheeler I think a 70 or 90 and we drove it off into a pool it flipped as soon as I hit the water but we flipped it back over and got on it but then it wouldn't crank.

I don't know whether or not my Xplorer 300 will float or not. I need to put that thing on a diet!
