While I was at the dealer yesterday, I noticed that the Explorer model has a tow hitch that bolts up behind the swingarm, and after measuring, it looks to be a simple bolt up option, even tho the dealer did not know this nor list it as an accessory.

I need a good low point on my machine to pull these danged Hondas out of the woods, so I ordered one for both my '99 and '00.

I think a hitch for the Scrambler is $16 or $20 from the dealer.

Mine was $35 from my dealer. just remove the bolts that you loosen to adjust the chain tension, those two long brass-looking ones and the hitch bolts right there. Also great point for strapping the quad to the trailer...

Thanks Hawk and Quad men. (I have to get a "man" in my name)

Hawk, was this listed as a standard Scrambler option? I did not see one.

On the Scramblers Domain, he has drilled a hole and screwed an "eye" hook into his swingarm. It looks functional, but I'd prefer the tow hitch.

That's my Scrambler...

The hook is not in the swing arm, don't drill it! It's in the front bumper. Works great.

LOL!!

I love your approach to the photos...but I did just skim over it...my bad!

My dealer didn't even want to order the hitch I was talking about until I made him measure the Explorer and the Scrambler. An obvious logical bolt up...but at the dealer level, nothing seems obvious...

Should I put new photos up? I just when and looked at them, seems pretty obvious it's in the front (especially the last picture on the top right) but it could be because I took the photos so I don't think twice when I see them. Good luck.

the towing hitch is an add-on, my dealer has several hanging on the wall - of course, most of his sales are utility atvs, he is also a John Deere dealer.....
