Anyone have an idea as to what the synthetic Polaris gearbox lube actually is? I hate paying $10 a quart for the stuff, and would use Mobile 1 or another brand if I had an incling of what it was.

it has moly disulfide in the oil.

So motorman, what are you running in your explorer? are you sticking with polaris oils, or have you found anything you like better?

i run polaris oil and change it once a year. cheap insurance as a gearbox cost lots of money, someone posted $700.

More like 1100 Just checked on one. Anybody need a tranny from a 98 400 4x4 scrambler will sell real cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
