My 98 trailblazer wont stay in foward when and if you get it going it just pops out and grinds,i adj.the link. longer but it didnot help anyone ever had this prob?

First of all you need to adjust the linkage shorter. If that doesn't solve it my mechanic stated if he was a betting man, the snap ring on shaft is out of place in the tranny.
