Here's a question. maybe someone can help???
has anyone had any porting and head work done to there 400 2stroke motors? what kind of gains have u had in performance, pricing, etc. I have a local guy that has done all cr250 work but hasn't done any polaris. I ahave already done dynoport pipe, v-force reed cage, green primary spring, and K&N filter but I still want more mid-top end power. any suggestions on ritter, aaen, or hotseat???

thanks,
jbird

i have had the local polaris dealer send my head to the local machine shop and mill it to raise the compression. i am not sure how much it really helped the performance because at the same time i had some other mods done (springs,Delta reeds, pipe). i am sure that it helped the mid range and top end, just like in a car engine, the more compression the more top end power.

Ritter or HPD are your best choices for that kind of work, and they're prices are reasonable.

I had Ritter do mine, and am very pleased with the results. Turn around for both will be close to 2 weeks, including shipping.
