I don't know what type of riding that you do but beadlocks are more for racing than for trail riding or mud running. Beadlocks are also very expensive. The only guys that I know who use the beadlocks ride TT or MX and have $10,000 - $15,000 quads. You can buy aluminum rims and they make rings that you can put on them that are much cheaper than beadlocks and they still give you that extra support. I do a lot of trail riding and I just use some good old Douglas .190 aluminum rims, they seem to be much stronger than the stock rims and they are a whole lot lighter. I did manage to waffle one but that was from flipping the bike 4 times on the pavement. It all depends on how you ride.

I agree with Balzak, the Douglas .190 are great. I trashed the stock rims i=on my Sc500 in about 2 months. Have had the polished alum.190 for 4 or 5 months and not a scratch. Price isnt bad either paid $200 for all 4 from Chaparral Racing.
