What do you guys think is the best overall tire for a 400 Sport????

I was wondering what you all run, and how you like them. I was thinking about Holeshots, but I don't know, because I talked to a guy at the race track the other day, and he said he owned a pair of Holeshots, and Turf Tamers, and he thought the Turf Tamers were better. I'm going to keep the 22" because I borrowed some 20" Bandits from my friend, and I just spun them things all day, and I don't want any spinning, if I can keep from it. I need something thats going to hook up out of the hole, grab, and go.

I have the holeshots and I love em. I went from a 22" tire to a 20" tire and that was definitely the way to go for me. They work well in the mud and they do a great job in the hardpack and dirt. The reason to go from 22's to 20's is to get those tires spinning in the corners so that you can swing the *** around and come shooting out of them. I would recomend them to anyone who is going to ride faster than my sister.

400fnSport,
If you want traction in just about all conditions, get the Holeshot XCTs. Before I modified my machine with a longer swingarm, it was all I could do to keep the front wheels on the ground. Your friend at the race track is right about one thing, the Turf Tamers are great for MOTOCROSS. But only motocross. If you try to take them into the real world, you might be sorry you took his advice. In the real world there are things like mud and sharp rocks. These are things you won't find on most MX tracks. The sharp rocks are just looking for someone to come along with two ply tires like the turf tamers so they can rip them open. Believe me when I say I've met some of these rocks personally. With the XCTs I just laugh at them and keep on going. In the mud, you will get a self cleaning tire like you wouldn't believe. If fact, you'll wonder if there is any mud left on the trail after you are done riding, because it will be all over you and your quad. The Turf Tamers would more than likely pack up with mud.
There is a reason that most of the pro riders use Holeshots. They work!
