I was wondering how to adjust the clutch settings on my 2000 Sportsman 500. And what do the adjustments do?

What are you trying to acomplish? I.E. higher/lower engagement, quicker backshift, shiftout, ect...

Good wuestion Jerry, just wha are u trying to do? I am looking for better acceleration on my 00 500 SP, I would love to learn how to "tune" my clutch for my riding like. The only other option I've found is through changing the weights on the primary clutch. For mine to allow better acceleration, I believe I would need lighter weights so that the engine rpm could get up higher. Need a little clutch experience out there on this thread....

The best advise that I can give you is to order OLAV AAEN'S Clutch Tuning Handbook for $20.00 from AAEN Performance (414)552-8981.

I ordered one with my roller clutch and it should be here today!!
