I am trying to get hold of a shop manual for my 99 SC400. Something on the order of a Chilton's or Clymer manual. Evidently, these aftermarket folks don't keep up, newest I can find goes to '95. The dealer tells me that Polaris has all the manuals for all the 99 models in one $50 book.

Is he nuts? Am I looking in the wrong places? Any help would be, as always, appreciated.

Your best bet would be the shop manual that Polaris sells through their dealer. I don't think they ever came out with a '99 supplement. For '00 they are making model specific books. However, after looking through a few, they aren't impressive. They still hace pictures & info for others models making it confusing sometimes.
