The dealer I buy most of my stuff off of has let me try out a few 4-wheelers on a wooded trail behind the dealership, and he knew i wasn't going to buy.

When i was looking for performance pipes for my Trailblazer, he let me try out a TB with an Aean Pipe, and one with a HPD pipe. I must say, both were a disappointment.

And a 99 400L, I loved it, but i don't have 5,000 to spend on a new quad. Stupid car and insurance.

Interesting dealer comments. I waited 2 weeks for a rad change on my 2000 500 SP on warranty, even though they had 2 other SP's in stock in crates. And....the shop was loaded up with sled work, and tis the season, so I waited and waited. In the meanwhile I contacted another dealer and explained the problem, he offered his service, and thus I am changing dealers. Just got the quad after 2 weeks and it needs to go in AGAIN, STUCK GEARBOX LEVER in reverse. One of these days....

My dealer keeps what looks to be one of every Polaris model he has in stock gassed up and ready to ride parked out front.I wasn't able to test ride my T-Blazer until the day I picked it up for the simple fact he didn't have one in stock, took three weeks to get.If I had not liked it I could have just walked away.

It all depends if the dealer knows you personally and who you are and how you look. If you are 20 years old and came into any dealership in our area, there would not be any test ride. Old farts like me, they let them ride. I've been offered to take one for a weekend, it was the owners demo bike. If I was 20 he wouldn't let me do it, so figure it out. Honestly, I don't blame them. Most dealers around here will let a guy take a test ride if they have bought something already at the dealer.

I have spent over $16,000 Canadian at my dealer I brought my Sportsman from in the past 2 years. I say "That quads looks cool" and the next thing I know I am riding it around their back lot. They know I am not buying one, but they let me give it a spin anyway. Maybe it has to do with the obvious interrest I have shown in a new motorcycle. HEHEH! Come on summer!
