SPORTSMAN 700 UPDATE!
#5
We all know that the Sportsman has long been the KING of the utility machines for many years. Im sure that this one will be the same. Now that the other major manufacturers have released their new monster quads, Polaris has had a chance to see what we want and what features are the most needed.
Off rider15,
I dont have any pictures of my magnum yet because I dont have a digital camera. Maybe I will get out the 35mm and take some pics today and scan them. Thanks for reminding me. Been meaning to do that. I will also take some pics of some of our 100 miles of trails we have. There are lots of great views.

Crap, that means I won't have the king of 4x4's anymore! Ha ha. yeah right! Just joking, because there is still the 650 prairie to put me in my place. I'm looking forward to seeing a new sportsman too. New generation design? I hope they put some steel in the rack, but I bet they won't. Also hope they try to drop some weight. Still, it should be a bad *** ride. The 500 has been lugging around over 100lbs. more than everything else and still outrunning it all. If they can get that out of 500, they should be able to pull a lot of power out of 680 or 700 or whatever they have up their sleeve. I'd like to see a redesign of the shift linkage too. Not like its a big thing, but if you are totally redesigning something, might as well cover all the bases.

Glad to hear that. Since i am looking for a used 500 Sportsman, maybe there will be a few more 1998 or 1999's on the used market to choose from.
