Went for a ride a couple of days ago and we found a nice deep mudhole to play around in.After a while i got stuck in it (8 inch's of mud on my floorboards)and my big started to bog and did not have any power(even in low range). After i got out i put in in neutral and reved it up a while and it came back to normal.Any suggestions?
Also would a scrambler 400 stock pipe fit on my bike, will it help any?I want a pipe bad but don't want a loud bike(hunting). Thanks

I kind of had the same thing going on. Was your exhaust under water when it started to bog? We were playing in some realy deep holes (up to the racks and seat) and about half way through our bikes ( mine a Xplorer 400 and my buddies a Xpedition 425) would bogg down and even stall. There was no water getting in the intake but the bikes would bogg and sputter bad or shut off completely. We thought it was from the exhaust being under water but more than once I restarted mine and drove it out the other side like nothing happened, the Xpedition we lifted the rear of the bike to get the exhaust out of the water to restart it, it wasn't hard to lift because when you got off your bike the rear end would float up. I thought if you stayed on the gas that you would have enough force out the exhaust as not cause to much back pressure. If that was our problem and I'm pretty sure that it was I really want to look into getting snorkels because we were having a blast bogging or not. I know this doesn't answer your question directly but maybe we are looking for the same answer.

Hi,

I had a similar problem last week with my Magnum. I ended up getting some water in the airbox, and it got the stock filter soaked. i had NO POWER until I took it off and let it dry. Maybe yours was not quite as wet, and after reving it dried out.
