I got a friend who needs help with the vavle adjustment on his sc500 4x4. Is the procedure for doing it anything like a 400 ex? We heard you need to use 2 feeler gauges to do it why? The dealership wants too much $$ for it $80 a hour and they said 2 to 3 days to do it. I can't see why, I had mine done in a half a day.

The reason for 2 feelers is the rocker for both exhaust valves is one piece. By the way $80 an hour, HOLY #$@%! People think we are kinda high at $52 an hour.

I just did my 01 SC 500 4x4. The hardest part is getting the plastic and gas tank off. They are both set at .06, and you need to use two feeler gauges for the exhaust. Since I could now get to the spark plug, I went ahead and changed it at the same time.
