Will mods to a two stroke make it cranky?

I'm going to purchase a RCR stage 1 kit for my T-Blazer in the near future.My question is will the pipe and the re-jetting make it any harder to start or any bad manners of any sort?

My Sport starts just as easy with the Stage 1 kit. The only downside is, it's a lot harder to hang on to when you push that little button under the right hand grip!
