I've got a 2001 Xplorer 400, and am interested in upgrading the rear suspension. I have contacted Works, and they don't show a listing for my year model Xplorer, and say it could take 2-3 attempts at getting it right. There is a 4-week delivery on it as well. I also see the Fox rear shock offered by Hot Seat for $160. Chopper City also offers a Fox rear shock for $305. They say it is different/better than the one offered by Hot Seat. I just want to know if anybody has any info to help me make a decision. Thanks in advance.

walexa,

The $305 rear shock is the rear "clicker"(compression and rebound adjustable) shock that Fox once produced. I doubt if they still have them in stock. The $160 rear shock from Hot Seat is the one that is on the Scrambler series. They are non adjustable, and should work with your machine.
