I saw that. We have changed a few things already, pipe, roller clutch, airbox, tires, etc. We recently have changed the carb manifold and CB40mm carb. Both are from a '99 Scrambler 500HO. The problem with that carb is there are no other needles made for it. We need needle that is one step leaner since we're on the last clip right now. Talked to the Mikuni folks last week and they said the only thing we could do was to chnage the needle jet itself and go leaner. We have a couple needle jets coming and will try this out as soon as they are received. Other than a little right right now in the mid, it runs absolutely great.
With the cold weather and snow, we haven't been able to evaluate performance very well, but we'll get there.
Our next step will be going to the 500HO cam and the Wiseco 10.5:1 piston. The cam is cheap enough @ $140 and the intake and exhaust valves along with the springs are all the same. We'll have to change the jetting again when we do this, but at least we should have some room on the needle to compensate for it. I probably won't install the cam and piston until late winter or early spring.
