Scrambler 500 25" tires
#2
Yes, you can put 25" tires on the Sc500. I already had a FMF MegaMax II pipe on it before I added the tires so I could barely tell that I added the tires (speed wise). It handles better than stock. I love the ground clearance, it is more than I had on my Sportsman 500, plus I can keep it in two wheel alot more. It's funny to go riding with alot of Polaris and be the leader because the stock Scramblers will get hung up and I won't even touch bottom. Then I get these guys on Sportsmans and Magnums that think no scrambler can go thru what they can but then I go thru more then them and really make them look bad. I am not a show off but when trash is talked I perform.
I did not have to do any gear changes to run 25s (f) and (r) although I did move my floorboards forward and out by an inch for more clearance between the tires. I would not go back to stock sizes for anything, I go too many places tooo easily with the larger tires and I can still race you through the woods and beat ya. I have added an aggressive clutch kit and roller clutch so I move pretty quick when I need to. Because of the pipe, clutch kits, and tires I can out perform the stock scrambler easily except on a motorcross track than I would choose a different atv. I am very happy with the tires 25" bearclaws but I think I will go up to a 26" (f) titan 589 and 25" (r) 589 for my next tires. Check out a few pics below to see the Scrambler 500 on 25" bearclaws. BTW The awd works great so the tire ratio is not a problem, I did notice the front wanted to stay locked in during these big snowfalls, I think something was freezing causing it to stick, no big deal just put it in reverse and kick it then the front unlocks.
