Help adjusting 98 Sport 400 Rear Brake Pedal
#1
I have a 98 Sport 400.
The foot pedal brake doesn't engage very well. Over time, I am sure the brakes have begun to wear down.
How do I adjust the rear brake pedal? What tools (and sizes) do I need?
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

All I need to do is turn that end allen bolt located above the brake pedal? I don't have to loosen anything up first? That seems too easy!
Fasterthangas: I will try to adjust it tonite first. If I run into a problem, I will get in touch with you. Thanks for your offer!
Thanks for the responses.

Rob,
Yes, believe it or not, that's all it takes. Don't tighten it too tight, though. The brakes could drag and you could end up doing what I did last weekend.
I let my son ride my girlfriend's Trailblazer last weekend. I gave him a short course on how the machine operates and what to do and what not to. Then I took him out for a short ride to show him where to go and where not to go when riding (we were riding on private land). To make a long story short, I left the rear parking brake on (I have split brakes on the Trailblazer) and my son proceeded to ride all over. When we came back to camp, the back brake was SMOKING! He asked, "Dad is it supposed to do that?" Of course I then saw the parking lock was on. I let the brake air cool and surprise, no back brakes. Oh boy, this could get expensive I thought. Well with a quick turn of the old allen wrench I was back in business. I did have to replace the rear brake cover (thanks UFLG!), but that was it.
