5 tb (better stance)
6 tb (trust me i race xc addictivley)

10 ??
11 tb (always in right gear lol heavier keeping the front end on the ground instead of on top of you)
12 ex

Im my opinion the EX has alot more speed than the TB. Low and top speed. Mags even disregard the TB in some of their shootout because they get way too old too fast and are very slow. Ive heard people say they beat a 250EX with a magnum 325. Nonsense. Magnum 325's are slow, but good utility quads. Good what theyre designed for. Running side by side to my old Honda minibike a modified ct70 top send is only like 40. A 250EX will do about 51-52. So the EX is faster. Its proven in every mag out there.

Top speed of a TB250 is 53-55mph. And with mods, there is NO WAY a 250Ex will hang with a TB is a straight line. A TB250 will easily take a 250EX with just a pipe, clutch mods, and air box mods (stage 1 kit). And you can not take what most mags say to heart. They will say great things about their sponsors, and bad things about the companies that DONT sponsor them. THATS A FACT!!!! Plus, this thread is almost 3 years old!!!!!!

ya, i would have to agree with BigBad on this, my tb with the stage 1 kit can hit about 55-57 on a good day. As for the too old too fast... what a crock of $#%!. Granted, they are not the best quads on the market, they are still a lot of fun. I have been riding quads for 4 years, and i am not sick of my tb after 2 years. Still, even if you get bored, there are plenty of mods that can wake it up. I am sorry but no quad should get old; everyone (quad that is) has pros and cons, and if you can exploit the pros u'll have fun!

Its a polaris forum what do you expect. No mag has even claimed a TB will go over 50. 47 at most. THeir tanks, heavy as hell. Old meaning, THe TB made our riders feel to bored so we decided not to put it in our shootout. THE EX will beat it in the long run two just because its a 2 stroke doenst mean anything. Ever heard of power to weight ratio??? Put that into account. Ive ridden 250EX's Z250's 300EX's, and they all seem to be faster than a TB 250. Put a pipe on it and youll have beat the EX for sure.

I would like to know when a 250ex did about 52 considering a 300ex only does about 55.

Hey 2untouchables690 What are you talking about a stock 300ex top speed is in the 60's. Even the 250ex stock goes faster then that.

Show me proof of this "mag" article then. Cuz a TB250 will do over 50mph, thats a fact! I never felt "bored" on a TB. The power is there, you just need to let it out!

1.Mud Competition - 250ex better tires and more low end

2.Drag Race - goes to the polaris definatly the 250 two stroke

3.Jumping - id guess the 250ex

4.Power Characteristics - more power no snap on 250ex, po will be more fun on faster less technical trails and open spaces

5.High Speed Stability go with the polaris - wider frame

6.Trail Riding - depends open trails the TB but tight rocky slow technical trails the ex

7.Rock Riding id say the 5 speed on the ex and the 4 stroke power will win

8.Comfort - personal preferance

9.Turning Radius - 250ex

10.Sliding Ability - ?

11.Hillclimbing TB

12.Maintenance Ease - TB

13.Oval Racing - ?

14.Tricks - nothing to do with bike all rider

15.Handling - very broad catigory thats what the other questions are is different types of terrain and how it handles (mud, rocks, trails, etc.)
