Xplor Bogging in all ranges!
#1
I have a 99 xplor 400, and recently after going riding and coming back and going out again it will bogg for the first like 10 seconds, push the gas nothing just sits there, then vroom, then again bog, then vroom vroom and im off. It will due this in high, low, and reverse. Any one have a clue what the problem is, i have heard of this common with some people and polaris xplors. Yes i have cleaned filter and also checked plugs, if it migth be the carbs. How do drain the carb? how do i get to it?
Thanks for your help!

There is a screw on the bottom of the carb. Just take off the airbox and loosen the clamp where the carb connects to the reed cage. I had a problem at one time with my etc, electronic throttle control. If your cable is loose at all inside the throttle assembly it would bog. You might check to make sure the cable is tight also.

I agree with 92 LT. I just worked on one that was doing the same thing. The muffler was plugged! An easy test is to remove the plugs in the bottom rear of the muffler and run it. If the muffler is plugged it will make a big difference. Dont just leave them out though. Its not a "fix or cure" it is just an easy test to try.
Good Luck!
