thanks, i think it is a bad spring,
what about that damned vibrating i hear when i slam the throttle when im going slow?
it sounds like the carb might be vibrating to much,
when my quad is idle it purrs with a boo boo boo and vibrates then it smoths out after a few seconds if i leave it alone and it idols down evern more, or if i give it gas it smooths out,

geez... ive had my polaris trail boss for almost four years and it still runs great. last winter someone went through the ice on it and it spent 3 weeks under water. when we finally got it out all i had to do is clean up the engine and replace some electrical stuff... its still running as strong as ever!!!!

Yep yup, everytime I fall through the ice on my pond I just drag it out next spring, hit her with a hairdryer, shake the water out of the carb, a shot of ether, and she fires up, if there's no dielectric grease needed under the spark plug boot. <cough> BTW I hate it when that happens!

'killer',

GREAT POST! Really productive and showcased your English as well! I agree, I'll be damned if I'll let ANYBODY discuss broken/defective parts (troubleshooting is for wussies) without a good 'ole brand bash from me. Can't wait for Tue. when the school bell rings..............

What's the matter John, you never heard of Polaris's? I guess you don't have to be too bright to buy a Honda.

hey dude i have a 2000 trail blazer and so far i have crumpled an a-arm, went threw 2 spindles for the fron't right strut, replaced all the brakes, the fron't ones twice, i have had to i snapped the old tierod in half, went trought to sets of tires, im on the third set, i have replaced a 2 chains, front and rear sprocket, the swing arm bushings, my brother snapped the swing arm in half, we welded that with a piece of angle iron, also we have replaced the starter, also my friend broke the brake lever,so we had to replace it, we replaced the cluth bushings, and thats all. we have had a lot of trouble, i only reckt twice but the first time it rolled about 12 times down the road and didn't break anything, the second time was we slid in the snow into a big ditch and that broke the aarm and tie rod and spindle but all the other times it broke by its self.

(LOL) Easy, Killer(250r);

By the way, good comeback on the school bell! Was referring to 'kkkiller' and my original post at the beginning of this thread that asked the bashers to stay out of this topic. Very surprised it went this long w/o their input; probably a tribute to the overall maturity of the people in here. Great topic; hope it continues.
