:Hello all.I am new to this forum and thought I would say HI.I sold my 2001 Sportsman 500 HO and I am waiting on the new 700. I wish Polaris would hurry up and get these machines on the showroom floor! I feel like a kid at the candy store for calling my local dealer so much about when will he at least have one for me to look at.I am already getting tired of waiting!!!!

My dealer told me i'd get mine Sept 15th...then i talked to another dealer who has a 700 and he said the ones that the dealers have now are being evaluated and that he is in contact with Polaris almost daily with feedback for the sept 15th start of production. He says it needs to be jetted and clutch tweaked. Sounds like i'll be waiting 'til 1st of Oct. I think they are sick of me also hounding them about when the truck shows up with my bike

Why in the world would polaris be sending the new product to the DEALER to tell them what's wrong with the new product. doesn't polaris do their own R+D to make damn sure what they send to their dealer is top quality?
to have the dealer tell the Mfg. the jetting and clutch needs work is SCARRY. those quality control issues should be taken care of at the factory.
i am very interrested in the new 700.
HOWEVER, if polaris is relying on the dealer to 'work out the kinks' polaris is going to have a very unhappy costomer. dealers in my area are very well known for 'fuel-em, deliver-em' mentality.
