After borrowing my quad to my buddy to use this laborday weekend he blessed my machine with not only 200 miles of use but also carb trouble when it was returned. I havent had a chance to really look at it not that it would help much, I dont know squat about carbs.
Here is what he said is wrong. The overflow keeps leaking gas out even when it is turned off. It apperantly filled up the bowl and the machine was flooded when he went to start it up in the morning. When he checked the gas tank he figured quite a bit dripped out the overflow during the night. Of course I've never had any trouble with it. My first thought is the float stuck in the bowl and caused it to keep dripping. I guess its my only thought, I'm not sure what else it could be. He said it doesnt seem to drip when riding, but he kept the gas line shut off when not in use and had no trouble after that. My machine is a 2000 exp
425 with a 34mm mikuni(stock). Any help is welcome. Thanks

yep, float it is. Tap the bowl w/ a screw driver, this sometimes frees the float. If that doesn't work, pull the carb. Clean the float and pin in the bowl.

Or goto Polaris 425 Manual, page number 42.

Good Luck.
