89 trail boss question

i am replacing my chain and sprockets on my tb and the rear sproket's bolts just turn when i try to loosen them. are they stripped or is that normal?

On my 95 tb they do not turn it is a fited part so won't turn.

I recently removed the rear sprocket on my 89 Trailboss. Screws turned normally. Is each screw behaving this way?

yeah each bolt turns when i loosen the nut. should i just cut the bolt off and get new ones? by the way when i bought this machine it was beat to hell and i had to overhaul the engine after a few months but i got most of it working good.
