Hope one of you guys can shed some light, I have a 97 sp500, with approx 3000 miles on it. went to load it up recently and noticed the valve noise was a little louder than usual. I returned it to the garage and removed the seat and air box lid, and found that at idle it was fine but as soon as you increased the rpm, the machine seemed to stutter like the overide button was stuck on, there also seems to be some blow back through the carb back into the airbox.
Please help...

Was this with the air box lid off? They will miss and sputter with the lid off.

You may have to clean out the dirt from around your override button. They stick sometime and cause this.
