I have a superwinch2000 on my 99sp500, and a warn2000 on my 2001 silver h.o. Did a small pull off with the wiches. The warn one very convincingly. On thing though, my oncles warn2000 freezes up during winter, making for longer plowing session than I because my superwinch doesn't freeze up. But for all-out pulling power(sounds drastic), the Warn get's my vote.

I told everybody to contact me via e-mail, but I can't figure out how to reply back, so here's the address of the dealer, this will be easier for us all anyway. Their name is: Clemson 4 wheel drive, in Clemson, SC. their phone is: 1-800-257-4294, and web site is: "www.clemson4wheel.com". i got a Warn 2500, which includes the hand-held remote and roller fairlead, everything you need to wire it in, a mounting bracket for my 2002 SP 500 with detailed instructions, all for $419.90, I gave them a business address, and I got free shipping, not a bad deal at all!

I have both a Warn and a Super Winch the warn is on my 425 Magnum and the Superwinch is on my 400 sportsman both are good both will power out.I have had the Warn longer and have had to put brushes in it. Both have home made mounting with the sportsman welded to the bumper and the magnum bolted.neither has failed but they take their toll on your head when working on them.Personally i would go for the best deal. WHEN YOU GO TO LOOK AT WINCHES ,HOLD THE WARN IN ONE HAND AND THE SUPERWINCH IN THE OTHER ,AND IF YOU CAN'T HONESTLY TELL WHICH WILL GIVE YOU BETTER SERVICE THEN YOU SHOULD NOT EVEN BUY ONE. MY WARN #2000 IS FLAWLESS AFTER 2YRS AND MANY ABUSIVE PULLS. MY BROTHERS HAD 2 STUPID WINCHES IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. WARN[/b]WARNWARN-------- 2001 HONDA RANCHER W/ A-2000 WARN

I have a 2000 SP500 and a Superwinch ATV2000. I use the factory bumper and purchased a factory bracket (Polaris) for the winch. I''ve never had a problem with the winch cable drifting out. The brake has worked flawlessly for me whether pulling myself out or with raising/lowering my snow plow.

The advantage of a ****** block is that it doubles your line pull and significantly reduces the stress on your winch...less possibility of overheating, though that's never been a problem for me either. Can't ever imagine needing 4000lbs of pull but the ****** block is also handy for angled pulls.

I have a WARN 9000i on my F150 pickup. It is absolutely awsome what it will pull using a double line pull/****** block set up. I actually pulled an excavator out of a lake once The truck was anchored to a tree with a chain. Three wheels were off the ground.

I've also pulled out many many trucks stuck in DEEP mud, some with 44 inch mud bogger tires! But now I'm off topic.

The advantage of the Warn 2500 is the remote lead. There are times I could have used it. My ATV2000 is great but if I had to do it over again I'd get the WARN if for no other reason than the remote cable lead. If money is an issue the Superwinch is a good buy.
