Has anyone tried the larger dia rear brake disc from FTR & was it a big improvement? Any idea if someone else is selling they're products since FTR went under & if so how can I contact them?
Thanks

what would the need for a bigger rear disk be, do your brakes not lock up now when you squeeze the brake?

I remember the shop saying the rear brake is small for the weight of the machine it's trying to stop & like on a race car they go to larger dia disc brakes so I though this would be a big improvement. No the rear does not instantly lock up like say a 250R does. Mine rolls a while then lock's up. Can you get your's to lock up quickly?
Thanks

I can, but then my rotor is on the axle unlike yours.

Are you running a split kit? If you isolate the rear braje using a seperate MC you should be able to accomplish lock up.

try bleed ing your brakes a couple of times, this helped out abunch, I used to run split brakes and after they were bled it was instant brakes, now I run front and rear together with a brake bias valve and both the front and rear will lock up instantly when I want them to.
