I was out riding this past weekend, got off my quad, started talking to some guys, about 1 min later, i look over to my quad, and i see alot of white smoke! We go to it, rip off the seat, and side panels. by then it already had stopped burning. Luckily there was no fire, but i did lose one hole wire. It a wire going from the right side of the engine case(looks like its coming from the stator/ coils in a bundle of about 5-6 other wires) and it goes beside the gas tank all the way to the front, right under the hood. the wire goes into what looks like some type of ignition relay or something(looks just like a winch silinoid) I am triing to have it covered under my warrentee(which runs out the 18th) but the dealer is not helping much. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS?? The only thing i can think of is that maybe this wire grounded out on something, BUT the key was off. It got hot enough to burn off all the rubber coating, and burn through the sleeve that holds the bundle togather. The only wireing i have done is i added the winch, a fan kill switch, and access. lights, but them have been on for months now. HELP!!!
