I'm having trouble finding the recoil start drain plug on my Polaris 500. It's getting cold up here. Thanks

 

Look on the bottem of the recoil houseing
Its right over top of the u-joint next to the break pedal,and its a pain in the ***.
,ya see that bolt???

It is a pain!!!! I think it's actually easier to remove the recoil starter completely. BTW- I have 8000milles on my 99sp500 and no water really has ever accumulated in the recoil. So depending on you situation, ask yourself, do you really need to drain it?
