As i wrote in my previous mail I became a quad owner and in this country with a supplement (quite expensive) we can obtain a proper registration which makes the sportman fully street legal, two passangers, no elmet needed. Can sound a bit extreme but in the small mountain village where i live it's very useful !

It's pretty easy here in Arizona to make any bike or ATV street legal. Just add a horn, brake lights and head lights. No turn signal required. I think ATVs are required to have a wind screen for some reason though. The only think a trooper could probably get me on is not having DOT tires but since I usally only ride on forest roads and the neighborhood streets I don't expect any trouble.

lucky u ....here in europe is bloody difficult.....and very expensive too(about 1000$) i had to add a parking break, catalizer, provide Polaris certificates of origin ect ect. then u get a bike equivalent plate with all the obbligation that comes with it. At the end of the game a SP HO cost about 8500$.......not bad for a quad !?!

Out here in Montana you can make most any quad street legal if you have a brake light, horn, headlights, license plate light, and rear view mirror. You also need to have your quad inspected by the highway patrol, and you need a motorcycle endorsement. I think most states probably have similar requirements. You probably want to contact your states motor-vehicle department for specific requirements.
